Arsenal scouts were in San Sebastian on Wednesday night to watch on Real Sociedad's Champions League Game with Benfica, 90min understands. There were a number of players of interest on show at the Anoeta Stadium, but sources have told 90min that the main reason for their presence was to check on the progress of Martin Zubimendi. Zubimendi, a previous transfer target for Real Madrid and Barcelona, is emerging as a potential option for Arsenal ahead of the January transfer window as they look to bolster their midfield options. The French Football Federation (FFF) have confirmed that William Saliba has withdrawn from international duty after picking up a toe injury. The Arsenal centre-back played 90 minutes in his side's 1-0 win over Manchester City on Sunday, dealing well with Erling Haaland as the Gunners secured an enormous victory. The win may have come at a cost, however, as the FFF have now confirmed that Saliba will not report for international duty and will instead remain with Arsenal for treatment. The England international was in dazzling form for Arsenal last year, racking up 14 goals and 11 assists as he established himself as one of the finest wingers in world football and nearly led Mikel Arteta's side to Premier League glory.
